Excerpt from a letter sent by a prisoner from Racine Correctional on 2/8/18:
“The biggest issue here is the rock unit is still without adequate heat. Everyone’s family called Madison over 3 weeks ago and they came to visit and told the warden here he had to fix it ASAP. Still no heat. The second biggest thing that upset many guys is the change in canteen….They took off pork rinds. Mouth They also raised the price of staples such as saltines, chili w/beans, summer sausage, but still no increase in pay.” [2/8/18
Conditions in the Wisconsin prison system need to change.
